AMAZING MEDICAL MIRACLES
The phrase "medical miracle" is a newsroom cliché. It means a situation in which a person makes an unexpected recovery despite great odds or a pessimistic prognosis.
Yet often the phrase is used much more broadly to describe a seemingly supernatural or paranormal healing or curing event such as faith healing. While to many people it may seem obvious that a miracle has occurred, in reality such miracles are rarely as impressive as they seem.
ILAYARAJA’S MUSIC MAKES MEDICAL MIRACLE
July 16, 2008, (thatstamil.oneindia.in)
A Tamil couple living in Germany. She was regularly doing her antenatal check-up in Berlin Hospital, Germany. When she was nearer to term; she went to that hospital for routine check-up. On that time there was no foetal movement. Doctors were advised her to take the abdominal scanning. She did it. The report of the scanning conveyed that the baby is alive and normal. But any how the mother was annoyed for the lack of foetal movement.
On returning to her home, she heard “Ilayaraja’s Thiruvasakam Music”, on the moment; the foetus started its moment. She was surprised by observing this. Then she switched off the music; the moment of the foetus also stopped. Again she switched on the music; the movement of the foetus is started once again. In order to persist the foetal movement, the couples are fully arranging Ilayaraja’s music in their home everywhere.
During her term, the delivery is conducted normally with his music only. The mother and the baby are healthy and safe now. The doctors in the Berlin Hospital, Germany are amazing by the practical visualization of this incident. They start the research with the title of “what is the relationship between Indian Classical music and health?” Any how, they do not know the answer for this question; they want to make every patient with the healthy state. With this sense, doctors arranged music therapy (Ilayaraja’s Music) in the hospitals.
Doctor’s confirmed that though we cannot understand the meaning of the music, the patients would get the positive health.
After this incident, the couples with the body came to India and admire Ilayaraja and his music amazing.
This incident proves the miracles of music therapy.

KNIFE IN MAN’S SKULL: (LARGEST OBJECT REMOVED)
www.kizdworld.com/ article/1221 - medical miracle
The largest object to be removed from the human skull was a 20.32 cm (8 inch) survival knife from the head of 41 year-old Michael Hill. In April of 1998, Michael answered the door to his friend's place and had a knife plunged into his skull. He then walked down the street to another friend's house. Four hours later the knife was removed. Michael didn't even have an infection and was well enough to leave the hospital a week later. Since his close brush with death, Michael's memory isn't the same and he needs medication to prevent seizures.

BOY GETS PROSTHETIC IRISES
22/11/2008 21:08 - (SA)
Cincinnati - An Ohio boy born without irises is starting to see colours more clearly after receiving a prosthetic iris.
Surgeons from the Cincinnati Eye Institute implanted the custom-made device Thursday into the right eye of 7-year-old Nathaniel Brantley of suburban Cincinnati, The Cincinnati Enquirer reported on Saturday.
The manufacturer, Human Optics/Dr Schmidt Intraocularlinsen Co in Germany, matched the implants to photographs of Nathaniel's mother's eyes.
Surgeon Michael Snyder says if all goes well he'll operate on Nathaniel's left eye.
The iris is the collared part of the eye that controls the amount of light entering the eye. Bright lights have always hurt Nathaniel's eyes and he can't focus well. Before the surgery, he couldn't always see colours clearly.
"I can see red and blue and yellow and orange and green and white," Nathaniel said afterward in the exam room.
DOCTORS REMOVE 42KG TUMOUR
11/06/2008 14:31 - (SA)
Dhaka - Surgeons at Bangladesh's biggest hospital have removed a giant 42kg tumour from a 40-year-old man's abdomen, a doctor said on Wednesday.
Dhaka Medical College Hospital surgeon Omar Ali told AFP he understood the tumour, which was bigger than a football, to be the largest removed by medical staff in the country.
He said the man, a rickshaw puller, noticed his stomach growing larger over the past two years but believed the increase in size was caused by water retention.
Eventually he admitted himself to hospital and surgery was performed on Tuesday, he said.
"After a three-hour operation, we have removed a 42kg tumour from his abdomen. It is the biggest we have ever seen and we believe it's the biggest in the country's history," Ali said.
"We are checking whether it is cancerous or not. It's amazing that how he carried on with such a big tumour in his body."
He said the growth was 81cm long and 61cm wide.
"It was like he was carrying around a big jackfruit stuffed in his abdomen. It was bigger than a football."
Ali said the tumour had been growing for at least for three or four years. The man was in a stable condition.
MAN SURVIVES 'MEDICAL MIRACLE'
18/07/2008 16:09 - (SA)
New Delhi - An Indian man has survived an operation to remove a 1.5m long iron bar that stabbed right through his chest, reports said on Friday, calling it a medical miracle.
The rod was lying on a construction site when the taxi Supratim Dutta was travelling in smashed into it on Thursday.
The 60cm-wide bar crashed through the car's bonnet and dashboard before hitting the 23-year-old, who was sitting in the car's front passenger seat.
Despite the incident, he remained conscious and called family and friends from his mobile phone while he waited at the scene for an hour before being taken to hospital, newspapers reported.
Indian media described the three-hour-long surgery as a miracle after the iron bar, weighing 6kg, cut through his liver, stomach, spleen and left lung.
Internal damage
It also perforated the man's diaphragm in two places and broke a rib, but missed his heart, The Times of India reported.
"In my 35-year long career, this is the first time that I have seen a case like this," the newspaper quoted doctor M C Misra as saying.
Doctors at the premier All India Institute of Medical Sciences said the surgery was difficult as the rod's angle prevented doctors from establishing the extent of internal damage.
Three of Dutta's ribs had to be cut to free the rod from his body.
Doctors said he was in a stable condition, but post-surgery infection could pose a danger to his life.
WOMEN THOUGHT DEAD IS ALIVE AFTER ALL
May 22, 2008 4:22pm
Death came for Val Thomas at 1:30 a.m. in the morning Saturday, when her heart stopped at home. Paramedics managed to revive her, but she didn't look right. As paramedics rushed Val to Thomas Memorial, family members scrambled into action, beginning to pray and ask God for a miracle.
Once at the hospital, doctors put her on a special machine which induces hypothermia. Val's heart stopped a third time making her odds of recovery almost nothing. Val odds of surviving at less than 10 percent, her son, Tim, told the doctors to take her off life support.
Once the doctors did everything that they could and the family members made every decision they could using scriptures for guidance, they finally turned Val over to Jesus. That is when the family believes their miracle began. Starting 10 minutes after they stopped the respirator, and were removing the electrical lead, is when Val spoke saying that's okay honey to one of the nurses attending to her. Doctor and nurse say they were baffled with Val sudden recovery.
Good news though, Val had a heart cath Wednesday afternoon, it shows she has no blockages and no damage from the three heart attacks she suffered Saturday night. She does have some type of an electrical problem so she is now on her way to the Cleveland Clinic where more specialists can look at her.
